Procedure for Professionals seeking teaching privileges at the Smithfield Figure Skating Club:
SFSC requires coaches to hold a minimum test requirement of Intermediate Freestyle test to coach on Learn to Skate or on our club ice. Any interested coach should submit a letter requesting privileges, along with a resume to the Smithfield FSC Board of Governors for consideration.The following documents must accompany the request for privileges.
1. Two letters of recommendation
2. Record of Highest Tests Passed (copies of test certificates or USFSA test profile from Headquarters)
3. Copy of Certificate of Liability Insurance
The Pro Liaison has files (active and inactive) for each pro and is responsible for sending out annual contracts, collecting current file information and contract payments and updating the Pro Book resume pages.SFSC guest coaching policy:
SFSC allows guest coaches on all club sessions. Guest coaches must submit a copy of their liability insurance, coaches registration card and proof of USFSA membership to the Pro Liaison. Guest coaches will pay a fee of $5 per session, or $10 if coaching for two or more sessions per day.
